Electrohertz

An event to exhibit your knowledge and skills of electronics and physics. ElectroHertz will test you with its exciting 3 rounds of crossword,rapid fire and circuitry respectively containing questions of physics as well as electronics.The goal is to bring out the best of you under pressure.

It is an individual event.
Judge’s decision would be final and binding.
Malpractice would lead to disqualification.

Crossword will be played on computer screens with one participant on one screen.
Clues would be given for each answer.
A ‘check’ option would be there on screen which is beneficial but its frequent use will affect the score.
Scores will be calculated on the basis of correct answers, and the ties would be broken by time taken.
Time limit is 10 minutes.
Top 10 students will qualify for the finals.
The points scored in this round will be used in a rapid fire round in case of a tiebreaker.

30 seconds will be provided for each question.
The person to buzz first gets to answer.
In case of a wrong answer, the question is passed as a bonus.
There would be +5 points for each correct answer and -2 for incorrect answers. Bonus questions are worth +2 marks.
Top 5 students will qualify for the next round

A circuit diagram will be shown to the students on the board which they have to clone on the trainer kit given to them.
The maximum time to create the circuit will be 30 minutes.
Points would be given on the basis of correctness and time taken to complete the circuit.
Winners will be decided on the basis of points in circuitry.
